Loaves and Fishes of Contra Costa envisions a community where no one goes hungry, basic needs are met with dignity, and every individual has the opportunity to thrive.

Since 1983, the organization has served millions of nutritious meals to individuals and families facing hunger throughout Contra Costa County. With the support of a dedicated network of volunteers, Loaves and Fishes has become a vital safety-net provider, serving thousands of meals each week through its dining rooms, mobile meal programs, grocery distributions, and food recovery initiatives.

Join us as we celebrate the grand opening and ribbon cutting of Loaves and Fishes' new Mobile Kitchen Unit. This new vehicle will expand the organization's ability to deliver nutritious meals directly to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity while serving as a key component of the City of Concord's innovative Mobile Dignity Center initiative. Through this collaborative effort, community partners provide hot meals, groceries, clothing, hygiene services, housing navigation, mental health support, medical care, and other essential resources in one welcoming location.

This exciting milestone highlights the strong partnership between the City of Concord, Loaves and Fishes of Contra Costa, and community organizations working together to address hunger and homelessness with compassion, dignity, and innovation.
